So far, I'm loving the service. From what I'm seeing, it's 360 videos in 3D. To date, they are the clearest I've seen yet from anyone (I've seen clearer 180 3D videos, but that's not fair as you're stretching the resolution 360 versus 180). So far, the trip to Africa was my favorite. I buy about two videos per month on average since I signed up. In fact, just got the Berlin one for a family member raised in Germany. Can't beat it for the price of a candy bar.

Well you're not supposed to download the films from RUclips to begin with ;). If you have a Meta VR headset you can download te TriptoVR app. It's also available on Android and iOS if you prefer a mobile experience. Hope that helps!

It is not :-), has nothing to do with planning trips or getting written information on places :-) This is an app wich has all our travel content shot over the 8 years that we have been producing in the highest possible resolution on quest , placed on our earth as a means of navigation. May I ask if there is any difference between downloading 8K content from RUclips and the original 8K content?
Hi, do you mean watching it on 8k on RUclips? downloading it 8k from youtube should not be possible (please let us you know if you do, so we understand how). 8k streaming quality on youtube is not comparable to the quality you get when watching the original. Streaming quality is always a quite a bit less then the original.
What is the resolution of the content inside? Is it higher than RUclips's resolution?
yes the dowloadable content has a higher resolution/bitrate than you can stream
Awesome video, I just wish there was a better quality option on RUclips VR. Are there any methods to watch this in 8k other than using the Trip to VR app? I like watching on my Pico 4 and the app is not up there yet. I have a Quest 2, but the Pico is always handy by my desk 😅

@@Vrgorilla1 what do you guys shoot with, if you don't mind me asking? I live in Brazil and I just bought an Insta360 Pro 2. I've been creating 360 videos for the past year as a side hustle with a X3, but the quality just wasn't there for me, clients loved it though.

Do you have to pay for each location view?
It comes with a free experience of Venice, so you can experience it before you make any payment.
Why the contrast of all shooting looks so low?
Well there are several reasons for that: - Nr. 1: RUclips compression.. - Output quality, depending on the light we don't always get the exact results we want. - Challenges of color correction in post (apply too much contrast and you also lose a lot of details..). - Difference in result for each playback device. Hope you're enjoying the content nonetheless! :D

Sorry, that's not on our to-do list for the foreseeable future.. It would be a lot of additional work, and frankly we do much prefer stereoscopic playback. If you'd like to see HQ versions of our videos, we suggest downloading the TriptoVR app on Quest :)

Hi Tony, those are actually two different things. Or you download the TriptoVR app for the travel experiences in the highest quality or you become a RUclips member to get access to all full videos. apart from being to able to scroll left and right inside the video (like in RUclips App) I would appreciate another feature which is for example used in Skybox VR. There you can switch off 3D to watch the video in monoscope. I sometimes feel that the quality of the videos looks better without 3D effects. Maybe you can check if that option could also be implemented in a future update.
